Firkin Tapping – Parade Day

The Saint Patrick’s Parade Association of Lackawanna County is pleased to announce that the official countdown to Parade Day kicks off on Friday, March 1 at 5:00 PM at with a special Firkin Friday event at Cooper’s

We’re tapping a unique firkin of Cavanaugh’s Irish Stout, brewed with care by Cooper’s Family Brewing, to support a local hero, Officer Gilmartin, who was injured in the line of duty. Hosted by the Scranton St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, this event is not just about celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but also about rallying behind one of our own.

ALL proceeds from this Firkin Friday event will go directly to Officer Kyle Gilmartin’s family on behalf of Saint Patrick’s Parade Association  & Coopers Seafood.  Scranton’s Parade Day simply could not happen without the help of the Scranton Police Department, and we wanted to use this opportunity to give a little something back to the SPD Family. 
The event runs from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and the Firkin will be tapped promptly at 5:00 PM.  Admission is free and all proceeds from every pint sold from the Charity Cask will go directly to Officer Kyle Gilmartin’s family.  Scranton’s 2024 Saint Patrick’s Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th.
