The inside of the restaurant was like a museum.

This place was so much fun took my parents out there for their anniversary. Great seafood, so much to look at on the walls. And the bathroom, and they had a fun gift shop.

Well, it was Father's Day about 3pm and there was a big event going on at the train museum so the place was packed. My wife gave the hostess her cell phone number for a text/call when our seating was ready. We headed upstairs to the bar, the expected wait was 45 minutes. We were there for a bit and one of the workers said food was available at the bar. The bartender hooked us up, really nice guy. We were going to cancel our seating, but said, let's see how long it takes. Never got a call or text. We left approximately an hour and a half later and went to the hostess desk to inquire why we were never called for our seats. The girl (different girl now) didn't have us anywhere on the list. Wasn't happy about that. The food and service from the bar staff excellent as usual though.

Food is awesome it's just the prices inbox me on the info. I grew up going to this place always loved it still do! I just didn't drink I purchased it tasted like dishwasher. Great staff.

Mary Catherine was a great server! Personable responsive and professional! Great food and atmosphere! Our hostess was also very nice and accommodating!

First time at this restaurant and my server was Mary. After asking for what to get, she informed me of several different options and I landed on the just seafood. The scallops were amazing!!! She even told me that she put extra dressing on the salad for me too. She was very attentive to my needs and very energetic too.

First off, there is no explanation for the decor. ... part seafood joint, part museum, and the rest is just cool as hell!! Everything from a toy train running around the ceiling to a 25 foot blue whale, also hanging from the ceiling.... we really enjoyed it But enough about that, you came here to hear about the food..... and there's only one word for that. AMAZING!! And that started while sitting outside, waiting for a table (20 minutes, worth the wait)... Just smelling what was drifting out of the kitchen...... everything was prepared perfectly; and i have been to high end costal seafood joints that weren't half as good.... very generous portions as well..... do not miss this place! One more thing... the service was absolutely top notch..Adrienne, our server, was not only very good, she was friendly and really made the meal more enjoyable! In my opinion, the only bad thing about Coopers is that its 165 miles from home!!

My husband and I were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary yesterday. We took the Scranton Coal Mine tour which we enjoyed. Then dinner at Coopers Seafood. This was our 3rd visit. Our waitress Mary was very friendly and efficient. Our food was delicious . We love the atmosphere. We took our desserts to go! Next time maybe I can make it up to the lighthouse bar! We highly recommend Coopers Seafood!

My husband and I when here twice and the food was delicious! We Both had clams and i had crab legs that was the best I had! The time before we had steak and haddock and pistachio cake ! It was amazing! The atmosphere with all the different things inside and all the photo opportunities is amazing! The themed restrooms were neat! We will be coming back !

We always enjoy our visit to Coopers Seafood. There is no other restaurant like it, the food is great and the atmosphere like nothing else.

We took a party of 7 people to dinner here the other night, and it was great! The restaurant definitely plays up its connection to "The Office" (for any fans out there), but I'm guessing it had a cool atmosphere even before its Office fame. There were so many different spaces with nostalgic collectibles (Barbies, Ninja Turtles, etc.) and different vibes. Live music upstairs and nice patios outside, as well as the classic seafood restaurant decor where we sat. There was no wait to be seated, and the food service was prompt. Our server, Becky, was so sweet and attentive. We'll definitely be back again, next time we're in the Scranton area.

This was our first time to Cooper's and we loved it! The atmosphere was wonderful & fun. For being a seafood place in Scranton, PA we were wondering how good it could be, but were pleasantly surprised. The steamers were fresh & not a bit of sand was to be found, all we had was seafood & cocktails and it was wonderfully relaxing. Our server was great as was the hostess. Will definitely come back when in the area!

This is the first time we had eaten here. We came from New Jersey to visit Steamtown, and the Big Boy Engine, which was completely amazing. We later stopped for something to eat at Coopers. We were surprised that it was like a time capsule, of everything we grew up with. A very eclectic, and also very history oriented Restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch, and also our server Becky, was very pleasant, and made sure our visit was great. We had the Fish N Chips meal, and also the Broiled Haddock. It was so delicious!!! Came in today and saw Nicole , we have seen her work your events with people out the door. She is a BOSS when it comes to keeping things moving and making people happy. The food is great also!

The seafood was great. I had stuffed flounder which was yummy. Two of our party had Louisiana style fish with crawfish and found it properly seasoned foe their taste. Definitely recommend.

Restaurant that’s open for lunch… and a n a Monday! Was a great find. The drinks were fun and the food cooked perfectly! Too many restaurants overcook their seafood, calamari, shrimp and lobster tail were outstanding. This place is going on our list to return the next time we are in Scranton.

We were absolutely blown away and thrilled to find your restaurant. Came in from Cleveland, Ohio and our visit to Cooper’s was a highlight of our trip. Our server, Kristall, was the best, a big smile, super nice and cool. The decor knocked us out, you could visit for years and never see it all. We will return and tell friends. 👍🏽👍🏽

Great place to eat,but all the workers seemed tired and unhappy. Maybe because it was Sunday night, but really cool place.

Service was great. Food mediocre if that. More cheese than crab in the stuffed mushrooms. Seafood Crepe were lousy. To much filler than seafood. Sauce to much salt, to much lobster base. Very disappointing. My wife's pasta, vodka sauce was not good either. Sauce broken, chicken over cooked. To much sauce. Water in the salad will not go there again. Very expensive and 3% charge on card not worth the price or the time.

My only complaint is that there isn't a clear plan for people with disabilities. The only entrance is on the side and it took some convincing to get someone to go around to the front for us to put us on the wait list. After waiting almost an hour, they sat us in a room that was completely empty. Why even have a wait list if you have empty tables? It makes no sense.

Just brought my teen Girl Scout Troop to Coopers and they had a blast! Crab pretzel was a standout. The atmosphere can’t be missed it’s so much fun! Every nook and cranny is creative and fun! The best part of the evening was our server, Becky, who took the initiative to get to know our troop. Her personality was magnetic and she gave us great tips for our Jim Thorpe visit tomorrow. Last, the bill was exceptionally reasonable.

Cooper's has the best seafood in the Scranton area. Service was great and the food is delicious.

New Orleans catfish is delicious, had it in N. O. and it tasted the same!

Food is always delicious and the place is always so much fun.

We had an excellent meal today. Food was amazing and our server, Kristall, was exceptional. We had to go to Scranton today for a doctor appointment which gave us the opportunity to have a meal at Coopers. We do not usually drive to Scranton by ourself so this was a treat for us that we could not pass up. And it was well worth it. Thank you for the excellent food and the outstanding service.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Went to Cooper’s yesterday and tried the New Orleans style catfish, and wow.. it was absolutely delicious. I love spicy food, and the flavor was spot on! The catfish was seasoned perfectly and was one of those meals that has you thinking about it long after you’re done eating The salad was fresh, the broccoli was cooked just right (nice and tender, not hard like you sometimes get at some places), and everything on the plate was enjoyable! Our waitress was also wonderful, friendly and attentive. Overall, a great meal and a great experience. I’ll definitely be back to order that catfish again! Please do not remove this from the menu lol
